When using 'By liability (back & lay)' staking, the way the system acts above and below 2.0 are very different. Above 2.0 it defines your maximum liability but below 2.0 it acts as a minimum liability.

Using 'By liability (Back & Lay)' staking and a preset of £100 :
At 11.0 you are laying £10 (£100 at risk) and backing £10 (£10 at risk)
At 1.10 you are laying £1000 (£100 at risk) and backing £1000 (£1000 at risk!)
..at 1.01 that back side liability is ten grand!

I know you can select 'by liability (Lay only)' to stop this happening but it's easy to forget to change it, and besides it works differently as it uses a different trade size on either side,

Using 'By liability (Lay only)' staking and a preset of £100 :
At 11.0 you are laying £10 (£100 at risk) and backing £100 (£100 at risk)
At 1.10 you are laying £1000 (£100 at risk) and backing £100 (£100 at risk)

A new 'By liability (Max)' would be ideal so that :
At 11.0 you are laying £10 (£100 at risk) or backing £10 (£10 at risk)
At 1.10 you are laying £100 (£10 at risk) and backing £100 (£100 at risk)

..you get equal amounts on either side but a definable maximum liability.

Or, just flip the maths on how (Back & Lay) works below evens so that you have a predefined maximum liability no matter where you are on the ladder?

It acts the same way above and below 2.0 so isn't a bug and works as intended.
When (backing to a liability) it simply means how much you want to win, so to win £100 backing at 1.10 would require a stake of £1000 - or to put it another way it is the liability the person who takes your bet would be accepting.

It sounds like what you asking for is to use (by liability back and lay) when odds are over 2.0 then have it switch to a (fixed liability or by liability lay only) when the odds drop below 2.0 which could get very messy filp flopping between calculations being used

It is the same 'feature'/'problem' on the ladder interface.

You have to live with it, and just be grateful. other aspects of the software, make up for it.

Occasionally, I have tried sending ridiculous amounts of money (unwares) .. which, is luckily caught by exposure controls/account balance.

Sorry guys, I've just remembered I've had the same conversation before a few months ago.
I get it. And to be honest I don't actually use it myself, I use fixed stakes and manually control the staking.
thx for the comments tho.
