Longer time to place a bet

Good evening all, I'm now to trading and BetAngle so I'm exploring different sports and systems in practice mode. Having spent some time scalping the pre-off horses I decided to look at tennis today having followed some of the odd for various matches and seeing lots of opportunity. I wanted started using the ladder screen but noticed that it takes 5 seconds to place a bet and I was therefore missing my entry and exit points. Is this normal and why is this and why the difference to horse racing??

Yes Betfair impose delays on all in-play bets for everyone, without it those at court/track side would take you to the cleaners
Times vary for each sport
