Most households have more people than people earning, yours is 1:1. If you had 3 kids you'd still take the same time to cook a potato but you'd be buying 4 potaties. You'd probably need more bedrooms too. It just sounds like you won't spend an extra 50p to have something nicer But you'll buy the worst quality tobacco at the most expensive corner shop and that's OK?
I did some calcs,
20 fags, £12 12g of crap tobacco = £1/g
150g additive-free organic tubing tobacco £95 = 63p/g
Better in every conceivable way....why do so many tobacco smokers buy their stuff like a student buying £10 wraps of crap! It's like being a drinker and paying more for meths than VSOP.

The hard up stories are hard to swallow Derek. My son lives on his own too, pays maintenence for his son, picks him up to see him twice a week 35miles away. Works in the cold 35miles from home in the opposite direction and takes home £1750/month. You probably make that in a week and sit at home all day. He can't buy fags or booze because he can't afford to.
I'm not sure if I've ever had a proper jacket potato but I only make them when I have some leftover curry or Bolognese. They may not be crisp but I wouldn't say they're soggy either. It's pastry that comes out soggy.Emmson wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 2:14 pmI have to concur with ff, microwaved jacket potatoes are terrible.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 7:49 amdefo soggy skins! It's like the mother's union..... Can I put a vote in for 90% microwave and blitz in a hot oven to make it less microwavy. . You could probably blowtorch it?Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 3:02 pmI'm not sure if I've ever had a proper jacket potato but I only make them when I have some leftover curry or Bolognese.
