" Sportsbook volumes were up 89%, including a 142% increase in in-play betting."
Wow! They are really offseting the looses they(we) have on exchange. Another year, they are up, we are down.

Can Bet Angel merge with Geeks Toy to create scale efect too ? Maybe we can raise some funds to fund(promote) new exchange for winners?

I dont see myself sitting in this "merged sportsbook mess"- for loosers only.

Future is bright, future doesn't like winners in their ecosystem. Paddy Power allows me to place bets for : 0,5£ !

Don't laugh but I tried to place my first bet with a william hill account a few years back and was offered zero stakes due to my betting pattern!

Anyway, along the same lines I have been given on good authority that there is an upcoming radio 5 live programme (Sept 20th) that is regarding "The corruption in the bookmaking industry" followed by a the delivery of a 3000+ petition to the Association of British Bookmakers with the press in attendance on the same day.

Just thought some of you guys might be interested...

Not sure what will happen, but in Australia I believe in certain locations bookies are not allowed to reject bets up to a certain payout and the idea is if the bookie restriction scandal is public a similar such system may be introduced here.

Who knows...

Interesting stuff mb

If the bookies could prove people were laundering money, or engaged in fraudulent betting activities, then fair enough.

However, the vast majority of people on BA who have been banned or restricted by various bookies, is due to arbing or being unprofitable. IMO it goes against the nature of fair play to ban winning punters

Since when have the bookies been fans of fair play?! :-(

I just finished testing my system, its all in a excel spreadsheet, 1000 bets in 2 months, I turned £100 into £5,000! I get the feeling I will end up on the exchanges after getting all my other accounts closed. :D

The "bookie shafter" system

Why would you bother with the bookies to start with?? whatever you where backing via your system even after commission you will get much better odds and returns on the exchnages.
