Unfortunately this is what you get with a monopoly. Betfair will do what they like regardless of opinion as opinion no longer matters to them. The new site is much cheaper for them to run.
I use BetAngel for all my trading, and once the markets really start to get underway i switch to using just that.
Though i also like to place a lot of bets manually, and sometimes like to play in the place markets, or the forecast markets etc.
The old site was just easy to navigate, and i could get all my bets in, and scroll through markets and keep an eye on things a lot easier. It was very plain and simplistic, though thats what i liked about it.
I find the new site awkward to navigate around, pages sometimes take ages to load, placing bets on there can be a real pain, there seems to be a delay in the bets going through sometimes, plus there is loads of other crap all over the screen which is distracting too like cash out/timeform/arcade. I nearly ended up playing on the arcade by mistake the other day as there was a link to it in the place bets tab and i almost clicked it when i was just trying to find my matched bets!
I much prefered the old site, i see no reason to have changed it. Plenty of people on the betfair forum who dont use trading tools to bet seem to hate it too.
During the outage this afternoon I stumbled across the old site again. I was magically transported back in time, the old site still exists it's just hidden.
After some digging I found a link that will bring it back: -
The good think about that link is it removes all the guff and you have to try and find the sportsbook and other things. It's pretty much an exchange only version of the site.
