BBC SPOTY 2015
No Joe Root as a contender??? Clearly becoming the ICC no.1 batsmen in the world this year, winning the Ashes and scoring a stack in the shorter formats is not on the same level as scoring a couple of goals in a technically deficient world cup . I'm guessing he's not there because a) the politically correct beeb wanted 3 women contenders and b)the BBC being the embarrassment it is has none of their own footage of Root in action and doesnt want to pay Sky for it

That's a maths error surely though? You can't use cumulative values when working out odds?Consty1 wrote:Based on @PinnacleSports closing prices, the accumulative odds on Andy Murray winning all his eight Davis Cup singles matches was 1.804.
Just got the odds from Dan
Young 1.036, Isner 1.073, Tsonga 1.178, Simon 1.128, Kokkinakis 1.040, Tomic 1.060, Bemelmans 1.010, Goffin 1.097
So converting those to % 96.5, 93.2, 85, 88.6, 96.1, 94.3, 99, 90.1
So Murray had a 54.7% chance of winning all those matches without a loss.
Odds of 1.82
I reckon Davis cup team will get team prize and perhaps Fury for the individual. If there ever was a sports personality, he is it!

Perhaps Mrs Webb would like to explain why Peter loves Tyson Fury so much
