Some people are obsessed with speed, speed of connection, refresh rates etc.
Fair enough too if your strategy depends on it. Although I rather suspect for some (not all) that think they need speed and low latency etc they don't.
Anyone out there able to react in under 200ms? Let's see.
http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime
(But hangon, we will all have different line speeds and latency to this test, unless you all come around to my house to sit it).
So this is just a bit of fun, just like Freddy sang, "nothing really matters".
For those obsessed with speed

Thank for sharing.
I managed 274ms but averaged about 350ms.

Average 225ms - probably down to the double expresso.
I've done the test a few times now - after two coffees. Didn't really make any difference.
My lowest reaction is 207 - can't crack the 200. I'm averaging 267.

Well that's encouraging, I thought the years (52) had slowed me down.
3 gos....
avg best
252 232
256 223
247 218
...and that was after a couple of nice relaxing smokes
I think there would be different results if it took 1 or 2 mins to go green, 5 seconds of focus is doable. Was fun, thanks gazuty.

Tried on two computers - laptop with slow cpu (pentium) about 260 ms average from many runs and fast cpu computer (core I5) with average 210 ms (several times below 200ms) so sorry to say but the results are heavily computer dependent and thus uncomparable...
Will work on the Human Benchmark reaction and memory improvement games.
Current best scores:
Reaction Time Avg: 284.0ms now down to 189.0ms in top 40
Number Memory: Scored 10 improved to level 13
Visual Memory: 4471 now improved to 8018
Verbal Memory: 36 now 47.
Practice makes perfect.
I will work on improving these skills.
My weakest test is the visual memory squares, although
you can see my score is improving.
Reaction and memory are the ones I'm focussing at improving.
Will be interesting after 30 days practice 2 x 20min sessions
what improvements can be made.

Gazuty does say in his OP that results will vary unless everyone does it from the same comp so was only ment as a bit of fun, but it is becoming quiet addictive as i keep trying to beat mine every so oftenDavDvo wrote:Tried on two computers - laptop with slow cpu (pentium) about 260 ms average from many runs and fast cpu computer (core I5) with average 210 ms (several times below 200ms) so sorry to say but the results are heavily computer dependent and thus uncomparable...

Ok.
When i frst tried it out I was using my mobile and I managed to average 350ms.
My PC is super fast over 2 grands worth of kit and I just managed to average 223ms.
So I have to agree. Quite addictive this!!
