I said its like you have a split personality- thats an opinion- not an insult. Never implied you had no friends.

If anyone dislikes me, please send me a private message and we can discuss like adults there.

The truth of the matter is my trading has really come on. I left my job to go full time. Had many a hiccups and I have acheieved far more in a fewmonths then I set out too.
Everyone kept saying that automation was the only way and you keep going on about my inability to trade.

I know where I am at and I really proud of myself for being where I am. I just disagree with your answers because its like your diagnsoing a patient over the telephone.

I will make 75k this year from trading and I really cannot wait to show you.

I cant stand negativtey. I hate it so much.

I really hope you can achieve that target ... and there's no negativity in my posts . I'm always saying that trading is a lot easier and less complicated than many say . And am always telling people to enjoy it, otherwise it's just like any other 9-5 Job, it should free you to enjoy life not take over your life .

But I think saying your going to make 75k etc is just heaping pressure on yourself .. even Peter says you shouldn't set yourself targets.and it's one hell of a jump from a £50 bank only a few months ago ( and remember why you went back to small stakes )

I suspect we have a similar in depth knowledge of Racing and a passion for the sport as well ... bet we could talk for hours and hours .

Just that I do what I do ...never say how much I make ( or lose) and am always honest . I only trade horses . Only on the ladder and almost always go in with an opening lay trade. I study form and data , great believer in trainer form. I also have a couple of big price " value bets " usually in the same race at the weekend .

Nothing complicated , most of my trades are intuitive, having no done it for so long , and knowing the form , running style trends etc,

That's why it does my head in when people say the markets are poor etc. Yes if your a Peter Webb putting the amount he does thru a trade it will matter whether it Lingfield in February or Ascot in June. Yes some meetings are more volatile etc ..
But for most of us were talking about putting much smaller amounts thru and it shouldn't be an excuse for a poor day's trading

Just hear so many excuses ... and a lot of the time people are over complicating things to a ridiculous degree. Stick to what you know and become expert at it

How you can contemplate trading 4/5 different sports .. I know others do ... but not for me

Like I say each to his own . And more importantly enjoy what your doing !!

Perfect example how hard some of these greyhounds are sometimes.

Not sure about that race but something similar happened this week, which I witnessed in real time looking at both the market and the live stream:

- My software placed a bet
- Betangel correctly showed the bet as matched
- Handlers loaded dogs into the traps
- Betfair suspended market
- Handlers unloaded dogs
- Trap 6 dog was withdrawn
- Betfair removed Trap 6 from market
- Betfair reopened market
- My bet (Trap 2?) was correctly still there, but perhaps with no deduction
- Eventually they suspended the market, the race went off, but they ended up voiding all bets: not sure why

Thx Derek, that sound feasible but all 6 ran according to the results. I might never know, who the heck is watching dog racing in the middle of the night ! :)

It's a funny one, my last bet went in at 08:31:19
08:31:40.157 Suspending
08:47:22.392 Unsuspending
08:47:22.392 Closed
08:47:22.392 Stopping

Trap 6 bumped and fell but they were a long time closing that one. I've searched all over for video replays but I can't find any. Is there a site that has them? I dont mean to go on about it but I don't like these odd ones, they might end up costing.

Did anyone else have bets on that race that settled? Henlow 23rd Oct 08:27

Watching the greyhounds reminds me of going to a country fair one time, there was a field set up with poles, and a rag & rope threaded round them to a winch. People were running their dogs, mostly greyhounds and lurchers. Our (short legged) jack russell ratter was mad for it so I let her have a go. The fast dogs were on the tail of the lure and went round the poles, ours was behind so just flew straight up the middle and got to the winch first!

There's a tortoise and hare trading parable in that somewhere, don't zigzag chasing the price.
