My bot only got matched bets twice this Saturday, v's 30 to 40 times on a typical day...

One question: Has anyone noticed a "lay bias" on the dogs? What I mean by this is if you have money sitting off the current price both on the lay & back sides more often than not the lay money is taken compared to how often the back money is taken.

I'm assuming its something to do with the book percentage (>90% in my case) but suspect I don't really understand whats going on as surely the prices should be increasing (in general) as the book percentage moves higher making the back bet more likely to be matched?

Given that your return on turnover was so high - literally 100 times higher than Adam Heathcote's - am I right in thinking you were outright backing or laying, rather than trading?

strike rate for the day.
There were 88 UK greyhound races today.
My Bot ignored 28.
from the remaining 60 races it lost twice.

Wish I could get my strike and returns as high as Memphis. Just did some number crunching from my last months betting history, would have gone back further but always times out cos of so many bets.

3,695 markets ,15,869 bets and a 1.73% return on stakes. I imagine if I did it to liability it's be a lot lower but there are so many definitions of ROI it's simpler just to sum the stakes. I'd guess Memphis probably does it the correct way.

Sure, but I don't see how anyone can have a double figure ROI for trading (at least if you're using level stakes and then greening up - maybe Memphis has a lay system and is hedging rather than fully greening up).

I set up a simple greyhound bot... I was not expecting it to work as well as it did today... but will see how the rest of the week goes :D a whopping £1!!!!

The first bot messed up a little at the start, but a few tweaks and the losses were reduced right down... had a strike rate of 92.5% quite pleased with day 1 :D

Does your bot trade multiple runners or just the fav?

Multiple runners, it nearly always makes sense to trade more than one selection in a market.
