So I am now on 2% commision until January 31st and I could have chosen to be on 8% commision....was very tempting that.

I've had several people contact me about these promotions, I guess terms apply and it probably isn't applicable to premium charge payers who will end up paying the higher rate?

Got this too, I had a survey showing these kind of options a while ago, looks like they've acted on it. It's like booking a Ryanair flight now!

no frills basic option 2% commission, no offers no bonuses - most traders likely to take this
middle option 5% with couple of bonuses/offers - pretty much as it is now
'diamond' option, 8% commission and loads of offers - aimed at mug punters surely, can't imagine any trader going for this?!

Was it emailed to you, did it pop up?

Nobody, or anybody I'm linked with ever gets these promotions.

I got a pop up too, can't imagine PC payers will get the options even if they do opt in

What are the 'diamond' offers? If you're paying PC the commission rate shouldn't make any difference.

I see it as betfair experimenting with their commission rate vs bonus incentives for non-PC customers, given that smarkets and betdaq are both at 2% commisson rate for while now.
Basically you can opt in for 2% commission now if you got this offer.
If you pay PC anyway then the bonuses would represent a windfall, so you don't get the offer in the first place.

As a 60% PC payer I was given this offer a few weeks ago and as with all the other offers I keep getting from Betfair I would still have to pay 60% PC so for me I would opt for paying 8% and getting all the bonuses etc. What is interesting to me is that I am getting offers almost every week like this despite not taking them up on a single one of them.

I have never been offered the PC rebate offer though of £500 a week like some have been given.

I also can't be bothered to deal with offers like Free Spins worth 0.20 but I like the Cash Race.
The Super-PC at 60% is hard, andyfuller. But paying 8% commission should at least get you down to 40 or 50% at some point once you have generated enough lifetime commission.

Hi,
I hope I've got the right thread here.

I was going to ask whether any of you seasoned traders had any experience, from your distant past, of Betfair's lowest staking tolerance threshold.

I need to practice in "live" mode, once I've tested in "practice mode", and although I have been using small stakes of £2, this does eventually erode my bank.

I decided to use very small stakes of less than £1. This has been much easier on my bank whilst at the same time highlighting my mistakes. I'm not interested in making money just yet, just perfecting my little bot.

Interestingly, Betfair has charged me higher commission the lower I go  This is fine with me, as long as that's the end of it.
But, if I continue, could there be a penalty looming? and
Does the fact that I need to use "streaming" influence their rates?

Thanks in advance,
Jackie
