Can anyone shed light on this please.
When I left click the name of horse/greyhound , the betfair chart on a selection say 5 minutes from off time
It doesnt matter if 5seconds, 10 secs, 1 minute, 5 minute chart is selected.
Every chart has the exact same number of peaks and troughs.
Then say eg during 10 seconds before off.
All the above charts have exact same pattern?????
Therefore for example, with quick calculation there are 12 (5 second periods ) in a minute
but both the 1minute chart and 5 second chart have exact same amount of peaks and troughs
Not sure if I have made sense
Edit
Superimposing each chart on each other would just look like one chart.-
Betfair Charts
I know BA have custom charts.
But very complicated to work out.
Pity cant ask BA to have that part of the platform easily available as in the many platforms available for the stock market
eg simplified 5 minute chart of prices , and simplified ability to overlay the macd etc
TRADING or trading trailing stop

It's just to give users that choice, remember the charts are plotted by BF and will all be the same for everyone, except for the rate at which you update them you don't have any further control over them.
The macd option is in the BA advanced charts, they are fairly straightforward to set up providing you understand what indicators you want to use in the first place and what they mean.
ie, If you don't understand what macd or candlestick is telling you then you will, of course, need to google them first
As I understand it, the "graph" you see when you click on the name of a selection is just a picture downloaded from Betfair.
I'm not sure exactly what prompts Betfair to update the picture - perhaps Dallas could explain further.
The refresh rate that you set just dictates how often the picture is updated - it has no influence on how often Betfair update the picture at their end.

Thanks for all replies guys.
Phrenetic is prob near or hit nail on head to what I originally posted and asked about
Every chart looks same eg 1 minute etc etc so refresh rates there at bf might be the prob.
To be honest I dont want macd etc
Only a true chart of each time interval.
Therefore the 5minute chart would be different from all other time intervals
Can BA for example provide a user to do a few clicks to provide eg 5 minute chart and overlay with 1 hour chart????

You can set any length you want (several hours), have you looked at the default charts that come with the software?
Also its worth watching the video Euler linked to as that will guide you through the various settings and what they all do
What do you mean by overlay? - one chart 5mins the other 1 hour?

I must comment the BA chart options are great for chart city IT people.
To me it looks like a dragonfly night club dancefloor if I try to move or touch anything to change the chart .Everything dances about like a drunk crazy dragonfly.
