Has anyone tried arbing greyhounds.

I noticed as the bookies are putting their prices up occasionally one of the dogs price is higher than the lay price on the exchange.

How quick do u have to be?

How much money can u get on the lay side?

Back or lay first?

There are plenty of opportunities indeed. Personally, I wouldn't do it.

I would live in fear of the bookmaker closing, restricting or freezing my account, with me being unable to withdraw my money.

If you're continually beating SP on the dogs the bookies will certainly restrict your account quickly. All the questions you're asking can easily be found by trying to arb these bets when you see them occur. I'd be surprised if it was worth the effort long term but you'll always find people on betfair willing to take under the odds because they're restricted with the bookies.

You will definately be barred/restricted I've witnessed it on a few occasions happening to people who l noticed used the mobile exchange apps. I would chat with them and we exchanged stories/ideas etc. Not just dogs horses as well. I used to merely punt horses/dogs mostly backing them on the exchanges via mobile apps. I would occasionally get a horse/dog bet on at the counter beating the price change, I found you have like a 5 or 6 second advantage before the price changes. TBH half the time by the time you notice the price shorten on the exchange and hurry to the counter it's already too late or the often inexperienced cashiers are so slow that you miss the price anyway. These days l prefer to trade my horse selections. If I absolutely must back something then l do it on betdaq, you'll get better odds, no rushing and no restrictions for winning.

Yeah lost about 8 accounts doing this all last year.....one surprising discovery was I was winning with bookies and losing on betfair which opened my eyes on where the value is.

yup, was once my main activity. but at the end of the day, if you rob peter to pay paul, it'll come out in the wash. name of the game is really to find loopholes in BF's market structure, be that time-based or apparent value.

Best one I had was in horse racing market where it was 12 on the sports book and 8 on the exchange. I am sure that must of been an error on their part but it was paid out. :)

There was an interesting arb available on the Arsenal v Southampton game today, which I assume was someone making a huge mistake. You could have layed the 3-2 correct score @ 1.17 and layed the Total Goals 6 or more @ 2.28. :) Although I have seen this happen before in the last 3 minutes just before they announce the extra time minutes. Wish I had a custom bot which searched for these as I am sure it happens allot. :)
