Variables for Guardian

Hi,

I think the ability to create variables which can be set in the same was as signals and also set with values taken from the market would be beneficial. These can then be used to give much more powerful comparisons and calculations during automated trading. Whilst the current incremental counter is good it has limited use.

What do others think?

The signal names are essentially variables. I think what you want (and it's been suggested before) is to set the signals to the value of a variable such as the current price or volume or number of runners. To make the most of this, and I think this is where complexity arises, you'd then need a new condition type that allowed these signals(variables) to be compared against each other.
