I hope someone could take the time to explain how closing trade on a selection actually works? What is it doing exactly?

I read (https://www.betangel.com/user-guide/clo ... rofit.html) but i'm still unsure.

It instructs the software when to close/green up a position
ie, when the odds are trading at a price where trading out at those odds would satisfy the values you have set

I'm not quite sure what level of explaination you need but basically, If you've placed a back bet, it will place a lay bet. And visa versa.
The idea is to bank the current profit or loss figure, rather than you just having a bet which would leave all your money on the table. It's like buying and selling, you need to do both to trade, and 'closing a trade' tells BA to do the second half at the current price.

Thanks for the replies, I couldn't see an active back bet being placed as the price drifted. Simply the profit column changed. Guess it is just super fast. :)
