Early in-play there was massive lump trying to back the winner, not sure if they succeeded. Anyways I am delighted with my 44 pence return.

Madhmoon second. He’s just not get his run of the races. Still feel he’s the best horse of the season to come. Damn

£4.1m must have been the total inc in-play?

I'd have to check the data later but from sight and memory I think it was around £3.6m at post
Then £3.8m at off

He certainly outran his odds. I hope you don't get asked that irritating question by people who know nothing about betting, why didn't you back him each-way? too often. ;)

Totally agree. Also annoying when you backed 2 selections and they come 1-2 and people who know little about the mathematics/odds of betting ask why you didn't do the forcast.

Hats off to SeaHorseRacing for sticking his neck out and giving definitive opinions unlike these wishy washy people you sometimes find who talk about every horse and when the race is over they've somehow 'told you it'd win' but of course never backed it!

I just updated my spreadsheet for the Derby and at post time (i.e) zero seconds from the off. The turnover was £3.481m, that's the lowest I've seen since I started really actively trading the Derby. But you can add in that it was the most competitive Derby for some time. So you would expect it to be a lower betting heat.
