Was going to start a thread on Abandoned meetings but so many meetings are going it's hardly worth it!

No Racing in the UK this evening and I would imagine quite a few meetings under threat tomorrow. Depressing stuff for the height of summer.

At least not until Greece exits the Euro.

If I remember correctly it was Summer 2008 when something similar happened and they had to abandon the York Ebor meeting. Was isolated though, nothing like this year where it just hasn't stopped bloody raining.

Wouldnt be surprised. Wexford has really drained it of money anyway from my perspective

I dont remember a summer like this either. Hopefully it will pick up a bit soon. When I was checking this morning most of the courses that will be used the next few days didnt seem to be inspecting, though thats probably changed by now

At least it's not as bad as a couple of winters ago when we had litterally NO racing for a month or so except for the odd AW meeting that survived!

In 2008 we went through a similar period, but not as bad as this. That only last a month and had flooding and so on. They had to abandon the Ebor meeting. This has now last over three months I think?!?
