I suppose I should stop complaining and seek to take advantage.

It is good to have a vent every now and then :)

I too find it very annoying when your bet sits there and keeps getting matched but when you look it is just pennies getting taken.

Just got 3p matched on the 16:10 Ayr. That was followed by another 3p, then 8p, finally 28p, and that was my position scratched. :D
I've struggled this week to get decent amounts through the market. Been very frustrating at times.

That said, my notes from the same week last year say exactly the same thing.

A little peek behind the magician's curtain, there.

Looking at the data coming in via Bet Angel>Guardian>Excel (column B) for the 16:10 at Ayr today, the horse names all have a numeric prefix like an Arab race or a greyhound race but its just a regular race as far as I can see. Am I missing something?

This is not particularly helpful on my SQL joins to other data!

Y, just had a quick look and it looks like BF have cocked that market up, instead of showing the silks its the number
Even switching to the alternative source for jockey silks doesn't show them

Really enjoying today, the sub 50p traders not so much of an issue this afternoon.

I agree, the market has been much more fluid today.

Don't normally trade UK evening races but there seems more money available at Newcastle than some of the afternoon meetings.
