The quality of the card and the quality of the opportunities don't seem to be as closely related as they once were. Definately a day for a gentle limbering up rather than a serious attack.

completely missed it. Must have been pretty highly priced going into the liveshow
Similar to when I used to decide I don't like a dish just by looking at it.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 2:53 pmThe quality of the card and the quality of the opportunities don't seem to be as closely related as they once were. You can use the Oddschecker.com bet history to relate the price on a graph to actual time.ruthlessimon wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 3:03 pmcompletely missed it. Must have been pretty highly priced going into the liveshow
It was around 8 midday and still above 5 half-an-hour before start. The bookies would have been badly stung if that one went in.

I got it wrong at the start but it was such a monster of a trade there was plenty of time to turn it around...got a lovely green in the end
As you alluded to, it's not a day for big stakes. I did a small lay just in case there was a big reversal.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 3:21 pmwow 20 ticks was a hell of a long way to let it go against you.

I doubt it, every tenner over the counter at 6's will go on BF at 6 and a bit. Then they'll shorten it in the shops, causing a little excitement on teh exchange, and then lay it off. Remember, they're professional traders, they don't 'do' badly stung.
Bit harsh in this instance as he gave his all and was just mugged on the line, and rallied well at last when headed in his previos race here . Clearly had problems when moved on by Paul Nicholls. So would be loathe to knock the horse.
2 wins 13 paces from 23 runs and over £41.000 in win and place money ..plus some of his places have been against very good horses like Present Man and Foxtail Hill.
Many owners would die to own a horse like that !!

Ditto, I'm only in for pennies today. Wife's gone in hospital for an operation today and I'm just playing to keep my mind off it rather than sat worrying. Nothing serious but never nice.
