If this was a UK market I would have closed for a loss as soon as the drift started. But Randwick, I just sit tight, shit my pants and wait for the reversal (had a bit more on at 7.8). :D LoadRunnerInfoChartAction.jpg
 Braver than me ..I am outta there as soon as damnit..fear of loss is number one on my list of current issues. My issues list is down to 4 though. FOMO looks to be dealt with. No going in play. Chasing losses is on the way out. Leaving money on the table-related to fear of loss- remains a challenge. I am the worlds most non natural trader-odd that I still enjoy the challenge  :D

Not a bad session in the end but I'd rather get up in time for RA than stay up for the remainder. Rosehill next week.

Had some good results earlier so no complaints here overall. Found the last couple of hours poor tbh but probably me rather than the markets.

That was a good session though should really have been better but for the wasted middle section for me and the poor effort on the final Group 1 of the season.

Next 7 weekends aren't going to be great I suspect so nice to go out on a good result.

Hope others had a good one.

Wondered why that race stood out from the rest of my bots results.

Wish I stayed up for it now. ;)

Is it not possible to optimise your bots when there are bigger races on or do your bot's automatically adjust according to the liquidity?

Not sure if BA gives you the data to excel but you can look at amounts available/on offer/matched for all runners separately or per market via the APi so you can guage how liquid a market is and adjust for it.

Stop for the session? You don’t consider each event to be independent with a long term positive edge? Interested - think it through.
Agreed, unless you are mentally in a bad place it doesn't make sense to stop. Otherwise you are picking heads because heads is on a winning streak.
Yep. It is possible to go on “tilt” or at least it is for me - I’ve been there.
Yes, I was definitely on tilt last night by the time I finished!

I have a nasty history of blowing up accounts so I need to be uber cautious with drawdown as it's proven very dangerous for me to continue trading if there's even a slight possibility it's from an emotional perspective. Like Derek, I'll walk away if I've broken my rules as that's generally a sign that I've already switched to emotional trading (-ve expectancy) but there are times when I enter that state and I find myself not walking away after I've been triggered which is why I take a prudent/anticipatory approach at the expense of missing a few markets.

I should add that sometimes I'm feeling fine and following all my rules, just not trading very well or the markets aren't conducive to what I'm trying to do, so I prefer to call it a certain point and come back fresh rather than potentially dig a deeper hole.

Devonport's fun. 8 ticks one way and then 8 ticks the other. :D
