Why put money into FOREIGN coffers
I don't think a European final is about the money that's why … it's about the atmosphere of being 'European'. And even worse for Spurs this year … it would have just been like another home game!

If they really want to make it interesting why not have relegation/promotion play-offs … the bottom three of the higher league play-off against the top 3 of the lower league! Could be fun to watch :)

I don't think Sheff Utd/Norwich would support that somehow. :-)

Shocking performance from Leeds. Berardi and Casillas, woeful! Obviously a reason why Casillas was dumped by Real Madrid.

Entertaining match though. Leeds to qualify matched at 1.04.

Ok. Still smarting a bit. But I agree. Now we have Lampard v Terry. Who's the daddy?

Play offs are so rough. You compete the whole season and the 5th & 6th teams have one game for promotion.

Perhaps what's needed is something like a mini group playoff at the end with say 2nd & 3rd bottom and 2nd & 3rd top playing each other once at a neutral ground.
Works well enough for the 1st rounds of World and Euro cups

Good point. WBA and Leeds imploded. Let down by Gayle, Brunt, Robson-Kanu, and now Berardi and Casillas. But I guess some of those impressed enough to get a Premier contract? If not, that's a big fail.

Its that sad day of the year again when we sit back and watch the FA cup but can't help but remember how this day used to feel!

I hate football and the only part of the FA Cup I used to like when my dad used to watch it 'back in the day' was the Royal Marine Band at half-time! :D :D :D
