Indeed. Edge gets all the focus; but scale & frequency are two huge components - arguably more important

I watched the video, and read the thread too. It's good to see someone out there smashing it, and with a strategy that has a common sense approach attached to it too. (high reward-low liability).Kai wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 6:42 pmThat awkward moment when you spend all day making your record-breaking video but nobody comments because they're too busy watching Wimbledonpsychoff wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 11:12 pmhttps://vimeo.com/346748999
For those who dont follow me on Twitter.
To be perfectly honest the production values weren't really my cup of tea but I can appreciate the effort and the message behind it, it's probably meant to inspire others like the older video did so thanks for that and kudos for managing to scale up your football edge.
For me personally, the video just highlights the importance of scalability in general, because there aren't that many edges/markets that can scale up properly, and there's even less traders out there that have the stomach for it. It's just a shame that Betfair get about half of everything back most of the time.
I didn't comment immediately because it came across more as a potential sales pitch on something or other just before the new football season kicked off. (If I'm wrong I apologise, just become a little cynical over the years)
Thank you for your comments. After posting the video on Twitter, I've been asked some 'strange' questions about why did I do that?
I am surely aware that, unveiling the profits/winnigs is not a good behaviour and usually seen as show off etc. But trading is a different business as the only indicator of your success is your profits. An artist doesnt need to say his winnings, you can decide about him with his art. Also a football player is the same. You can watch him and decide what kind of a player he is. Unfortunately, deciding about a trader isnt easy as that. Of course there may be frauds in screenshots as well. Thats why I (rarely) post videos showing 3 months p&l. I watched a youtube video from Peter explaning why he posts profit videos. I am totally agree and it was good to see that we have exactly the same motives with him which is mainly to show that: I am still here, trading and successful. I believe that this is important because when I give any tip, advice etc, my followers need to know how reliable my words are.
I didnt (and wont) post this explanation to twitter because I dont want to trigger a debate there. This is a small and sensible group and I wanted you to know why I did that. Still open to any criticism tho...
Best of luck,
P

Honestly I just think the style in which the video was put together is what triggered a lot of people over there more than the results themselves. One can easily misinterpret a video if they don't have the full context behind it, and it's safe to say that the majority of your followers over there don't.

I'd have to agree, all the included quotes from people saying how amazing you were came across a little nauseating but maybe that's just us cynical Brits, I was waiting for the music to break into Andrew Gold if I'm beng honest .Kai wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 2:50 pm

Always good to have people puts their nuts on the line to show what's acheivable though and show the full 3 months rather than the odd market .
Think the main 3 month pnl would love to see is Peter's
This is my first post on here and it’s great to see Pyschoff posting in here. I’ve started football trading since stumbling across his twitter account and being dumbfounded by the results he had posted on there. my results in the first two months have been more down that up but it’s a learning process, also I’m ‘practising’ in leagues that I’m not overly familiar with and going on pre match and in match stats, rather than watching the game. Looking forward to the major leagues starting again and hopefully seeing an improvement in my results.

Don't want to come across as the voice of doom but when you get people posting their own screenshots purposely omitting the number of markets played don't assume every market is a £20k winner in that 3 month pnl of £300k. I'm sure he may have had a few losers not 15 straight wins

Of course I have losing trades, days, even weeks in loss. The ones I share are the most successful ones. People sometimes ask me why I dont share red screens as well. Have you ever seen Barcelona FC sharing Messi's top 10 misses?spreadbetting wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 12:00 am'tJf76 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 8:45 pmThis is my first post on here and it’s great to see Pyschoff posting in here. I don't know how any of that is relevant really. Post your stats, don't post your stats: it doesn't really make that much of a difference to me unless it's going into my bank! What's relevant is whether or not you are legit (which you seem to be) as well as: how the hell do you do it?! Do you have specific strategies that you adopt? Or are you just really good at spotting value? Do you spend a lot of time creating models and looking at historical data? Or did you just get a rhythm for football?
