Hey,

Not sure if this is the right board for this, apologies if it's not!

Is there a way to keep a prematch bet at inplay but for it to still work as a normal inplay bet?

Example:

Over 2.5 is currently trading at 1.8, I place a prematch back bet at 2.2 and 'keep' at inplay.
If a goal is scored, the odds drop to (let's say) 1.4, but the bet remains inplay, whereas I would like it to be cancelled if a major event happens.

Is this at all possible?

You can run a simple automation rule in the background which would cancel unmatched bets after a sudden move in price (red card, goal etc)

How exactly would I do this?

Have you used automation in the past - are you at all familiar with it?

I have, yes, but I'm still quite new to automation so I'm sorry if this came off as a silly question!

Its not a silly questions just needed to know how best to write the instructions for you.

So all you would need to do is add a 'Cancel all Unmatched bets' rule
Apply s to (conditions only) Betfair Row index 2

Then add the following two conditions

Time since unsuspended condition
is Greater than 60 secs

Historical relative odds condition
Selections last traded price
now is less than

Selections last traded price
minus 15 ticks

What thats then doing is saying if there is a drop on odds of 15 ticks or more (ie a goal or red card) then trigger Cancel the unmatched bets rule

Thanks so much! Works great!
