Here is a few pointers to help you find the markets your after in the quickest and easiest ways and add them to guardian

Horse Racing & Greyhound Racing

For Horse Racing and Greyhound markets the ‘Settings’ tab in the market selection window can be used to quickly select exactly which markets you want to see under the 'Quick Picks' tab.
So to see just todays UK and IRE horse racing win markets just tick these options and this tab then when you go back onto the ‘Quick Picks’ tab only these markets will now be shown (see top image).

Soccer, Tennis and all other specfic markets

When looking for a specific market or type of market the ‘search’ tab can be used, to get you started there is some pre-saved searches already saved when you install Bet Angel and if you wish to add some of your own then details of how to do this can be found in this blog post.

To find the markets you want it’s important to know how Betfair reference them, If your ever in doubt as to what this is or can’t find what you’re looking for you can check this by clicking on the ‘Select’ tab you can then navigate your way through the market tree making a note of the Betfair headers you see.

A common one is when searching for Premier League fixtures, most people will of course search for ‘Premier League’ - but this will find markets in cricket as well as other football league from all over the world named Premier league!

By navigating down through the tree you will see this when you locate the Premier League markets you are most likely interested in the full name they are listed under by Betfair is 'English Premier League'
Once you know the correct term you can return back to the search tab and enter ‘English Premier League AND Match Odds’ or whatever market type you wish to search from the Premier league.

Its also possible to add in some further filters to have displayed just the markets of interest to you.

For example, to see only the match odds for the premier league and exclude all other markets with match odds in the title the search string to use would be;
English Premier League AND Match Odds AND NOT Over/Under AND NOT Both teams to Score

The same technique applies to all sports/markets, the pre-saved search string of ‘Tennis AND Match Odds’ will return all Tennis match odds markets currently available but if you just wanted to filter this to a specific gender and tournament like the Australian Open then a search like below can be used;
Tennis AND Match Odds AND Mens AND Aus

The Market Selection window in guardian is very similar to the one available on the main screen, an advantage to using it in Guardian is the ability to ‘mass’ select and add markets you have searched for straight to guardian. To do this simply hold your ‘Shift’ key down and press either your ‘down arrow’, ‘Page Down’ or ‘End’ key and once highlighted they can all be added to guardian in one go (see image below).

Soccer Markets

The other advantage when using in guardian is the specialist ‘Soccer’ tab. On this tab selecting ‘All Matches’ will return every soccer match and market currently available on Betfair and organise them into date order.

Remember not every match can be used with the ‘Soccer Mystic’ profiling tool, so another handy feature of this tab is the option to ‘Show only the matches supported by soccer mystic’.

As in the previous post above you still have the option to filter or search for specific types of matches, this time might want to search for something like ‘English Premier League’ (see bottom image).

Which will of course give you a list of just those matches and in date order, the most common market types can then be quickly selected from here for each date. So if you only wanted the match odds markets from this weekend’s fixtures you could get these quickly by right mouse clicking on ‘Fixtures 21 February’ and selecting ‘Match Odds’ from the list, then repeat this for ‘Fixtures 22 February’, this can be done for as many market types and dates as required, once finished clicking the add button in the bottom right corner will load them all into guardian in one go…. This is by far the quickest and easiest way to search for multiple soccer markets.

Don’t forget once markets have been loaded into guardian you can add them to a ‘watch list’ see this link for further details. https://www.betangel.com/forum/viewtopi ... 47&t=11978

Tennis Markets

To find the Tennis markets your interested in is also very straight forward using the search window within Guardian.

As we seen above the search tab of the sidebar window already has several a pre-set search string including ‘Tennis AND Match Odds’

To find specific matches/tournaments you can just add to the end of that, for example if you wanted just the matches from the ‘French Open’ you could use one of these search search strings;

Tennis AND Match Odds AND French Open
Or
Tennis AND Match Odds AND French Open AND Mens
Or
Tennis AND Match Odds AND French Open AND Womens

French Open Search.JPG

Sometimes your search might return some doubles matches (that you don't want) if this happens the word 'singles' is not referenced by Betfair so adding that word to your search string won't work.
However 'Doubles' does appear therefore to ensure you don't get any doubles matches you would use

Tennis AND Match odds AND Mens AND NOT Doubles

That will return all the men's signals matches for every tournament.

Once the search results have been returned then simply select the first market on the list hold down your ‘shift’ key and press your ‘End’ key to select ALL the markets or use the ‘Arrow Down’ key to select individual markets and click ‘ADD’ in the bottom right corner to add them all to guardian.

Then as with all markets added to guardian they can be sorted anyway you want by clicking the column header, on Tennis markets I prefer to first sort by volume and remove all that I feel are to illiquid then if running automation, I sort by start time and remove any that don’t start today (I’ll do a fresh search again tomorrow morning).

In a few quick click I’m left with just the matches from the French Open starting today which have decent liquidity
