Based on their last 30 serves (22 each) my tennis simulator gives Djokovic a 1.35 chance.

For the whole match (Djokovic 67.3%, Nadel 64.7%), maintaining the same strike-rate gives Djokovic a 1.21 chance.

I have point-by-point datasets for loads of ATP/WTA matches this season, I believe 90% of them.

If you got ideas to test, get in touch.

Thanks Northbound. I'm just testing and experimenting with my simulator at the moment. :)

Excellent quality Tennis from Djokovic and Nadal so much better than the other semi
Well, Isner and Anderson were the top 2 servers ('the giants'), same styles, so boring slug-fest for long patches, still some good points though. Strategy of those guys is to just to bludgeon and belt the ball with all the force they can muster , usually resulting in either BOOM - Ace, or BOOM-BOOM, serve, return, point over

Did you see Anderson in the BBC interview at the end? He was totally shattered, his whole face puffed up, too exhausted to even speak almost. 6 hours of belting the ball BOOM BOOM BOOM with the 130mph serves - would take the body weeks to recover from that. Nuts.

He seemed to genuinely feel for his opponent - it can't be much fun losing after that 6 hour slog!

I wish they'd continue the match at 9am, just after Caulfield ends. That would suit me.

Have this as an investable price on Djokovic.. quite a drift overnight as any momentum was discounted.

That break came a little earlier than I expected

A promising start from Nadal with a 5th set looking very likely

Another epic mens SF, although was beginning to think this was going to go on all afternoon.

Charts were taken at 9-8 just before Nadal's final service game
