After 3 rounds :

Reed -14 Betfair price 2.3 ..Not won for 3 yrs, came 2nd at Valapar (shot 68 final round .. previous 71/69/68) .. Was v windy.

Mcilroy -11 Betfair price 3.0 .. Never won Masters, but got all rest of majors in the locker.

Fowler -9 Betfair price 10.0 .. serial disapointer on Sunday

Rahm -8 Betfair price 17 .. shot fantastic golf Saturday (would give him more chance than Fowler, and will try find a final round match bet)

gg
IMO, I sense Fowler (maiden) to put together a run. He's in a different place mentally this year and it could provide a springboard to win some big tournaments over the next few years.

Yeah, he looks good.Definite possibility
Reed's weird swing helicopter thing is interesting.Wondering if the change in his swing is consistent enough to see him through under final day pressure.I am also interested to see if he has enough moxy (arse :D ) to fend off a hungry and previous major winner like McIlroy-especially as his partner on day 4 .Great tournament
Rahm wildcard for sure

McIlroy missed a great birdie chance there. Surely would have been a massive step towards the title.

For the record, the DOB strategy explained in the opening post ended with a -4pt loss.

Thanks for the honest appraisal - not all strategies work all the time, so it's nice to hear about disappointing results as it adds a bit of realism

Agree. I believe that generating and testing new ideas all the time is very important. Most of them won’t work out and that’s OK.
