Some good advice in here.

I think it's important to have goals but they need to supplemented with a good slug of reality.

As Euler said further up in the thread:

Monetary targets lead you to chase a number, rather than trade an opportunity.

Let's say you start hour 2, £10 down, then you need to make £60 in the next 2 hours to hit your target.

And this WILL happen and will happen a lot if you chase numbers.

For the first few months (yes months) you need:

1) To learn discipline
2) Get as much screentime as possible
3) Learn to take and accept losses

There is a wealth of information on this forum and, of course, the Bet Angel youtube channel.

Devote as much of your time as possible to reading, watching videos and most importantly, being active in the markets - if you do this, you give yourself a really good chance of succeeding.

And I can't stress enough that you need to be active in the markets using real money - even if it's just £2 stakes.
