It might have been interpreted as some form of money laundering.LeTiss wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 9:02 amHow can you get suspended for being matched at unfavourable odds, due to a misfiring bot?
That's all part and parcel of the exchange ecosystem - if you are going to run the risk of automating your trades, then you have to carry the can when it fucks up. To suspend people is plain wrong
I've seen a 5-figure sum matched in a low-liquidity US race, the single bet taking up 99.9% of the market turnover. That could have been money laundering or transferring money between Betfair accounts, but unless the irregularity was something as eye-catching, they must have some very crude and indiscriminately algorithms at work to be suspending so many Betdaq accounts.
No problem, yeah i was just looking if there were more people.
Thank you

Yes but i'm portuguese, the only reason i can think off is that they put some money in the markets
You can only access Betdaq from countries where they have license

Yes, that will raise their suspicions because it hides your location. Imagine it like this …"hey, look at these transactions, they look dodgy to me … and he is using a VPN!" I used to do some forensic financial investigations and if you saw smoke you would see if there is a fire.

My understanding is if your using a VPN that is not UK based or in a country that doesn’t have an exchange license then you are breaking their T&Cs.
And sooner or later they will suspend and/or close your account.
Not as bad as poker sites though. If they suspect your running an automated poker bot or indulging in table player collusion then they also seize your account funds. And good luck trying to get any of it back without a high court case. Expensive.

A VPS is a physical server and in the case of Bet Angels there's are located here in the UK so have UK IP addresses and connect directly to the BF and BD servers so work exactly the same as connecting from your own PC
A VPN routes you through IP addresses, so only takes one IP to be located in a banned country or used by many others etc and it flags alarms at BD and BF
