Race should stand but what will Betfair do as they messed up the market by stopping it mid race.
Total disgrace though as the poor horse had a back leg broken in half - hope the RSPCA get them as that was just disgusting letting them run past it!
Utter disgrace from the stewards.

I was chatting with another trader and said as soon as the poor horse broke down it had to be stopped - no way should they have been allowed to run past it. Poor horse would have been in huge amount of pain and then set off by the others running past.
Would have been disgusting to see it in such pain.
Stewards should have the book thown at them not the jockies.

Betfair will currently be scratching heads and deciding what rule to make up.
I think it should be voided but I can see a case for letting it stand - some people will be badly exposed as by rights all bets pre race and inplay should stand I think.

if betfair do void it will be interesting to see which bit of their t & c they will state.
whatever they decide they should never have been put in this position in the first place ( cant believe i have sympathy for them). incompetant officals would seem to have caused the mess.
18:23 they have settled now.

To be honest they were a bit keen in suspending the race, they don't suspend the race normally until well after the race is actually over - it is usually suspended when they cross the line on ATR not when they actually cross the line and they are far form quick with withdrawals.
I can see why they did but don't have any sympathy for them but I do for the people who were unable to close out of their positions due to the suspending as they lost through Betfairs fault not their own.
