Handling runner name different to same team from event name?

Hi,

I use Betangel a lot but I like to use the API directly for some stuff.

Something I coded worked. Except now it has run into a bug.

I was getting the team names by splitting the event name,

However in the runners part of the API for longer team names are shortened.
That makes it hard for me to know how to handle them.

For example Hapoel Beer Sheva is H Beer Sheva and Maccabi Tel Aviv is Mac Tel Aviv.

I cant see a specific pattern even in the contracted names.

Any idea how to get these apparent shornames before accessing the runners names or how to handle this otherwise, please?

Your best option will be to contact [email protected] and see if they have a conversion table.
