On the dogs most of my strategies are bets rather than trades, in as much as they go to race conclusion, so no issues with hedging.

You'll save yourself some commission if you hedge them at SP (0ev). And if the sp doesn't turn out to be 0ev then there's another edge.
The dogs strategies are based on bias / value so they run to conclusion.

Every strategy is based on value, I mean is yours value vs BSP (hedging is advantageous) or value at BSP (hedging not applicable). It all comes down to the EV of the SP of the dogs you're selecting.

Reverse prices (offering) is indeed value if you subscribe to EMH, it's the basis of everything I do.
You're doing well to get consistant value at BSP though, I hope you're managing to get plenty on.
