If the exchange is not available in your native country, there isn't much you can do. Unless you wish to set-up an account in another country. Just being located elsewhere, isn't enough.

I think it would be helpful for a lot of people around the world if there was a pinned thread with the current up-to-date list of accessible countries for the main exchange, along with VPS solutions and instructions below it etc.
It's very difficult to keep track of in a reasonable manner. Happy to create a thread though.

I am digital nomad and PT (perpetual traveler). I could, therefore, go and stay in another country where BetFair is available if that is the only way of getting access to the exchange but of course if a UK-based VPS would already give me access to the exchange and I could then go an stay in any country I like, that would be far more flexible and thus my preferred solution.

Hi, this is to let you know that having a BetFair account domiciled in Austria, I have just now tried to access BetFair via a UK-based VPS.
I could place bets on the sportsbook but not on the exchange.
I can do exactly the same (i.e. placing bets on the sportsbook but not on the exchange) without a VPS too, that is from any country where BetFair is not restricted either by the country or by BetFair itself.
So, having a VPS still has some merit for those who travel frequently and/or for extended periods of time and stay in countries from which BetFair cannot be accessed.

However, to be able to place bets on the exchange, there is, apparently, no other way but to have a UK address.

FYI

No, you don't need a UK address on your BF account, any country where the exchange still legally operates is fine. Many users here from various countries, plenty of long term customers and regular PC payers and some with account managers too etc.

I don't have a current list of countries although the list posted above is probably valid, but some of those countries are for Sportsbook only, and some of the countries (like Italy) have their own exchange with their own liquidity, hence my suggestion to make a sticky thread about the main exchange country list only, for future reference, and then people can comment to update the list as necessary since things change on a yearly basis.

But once you get the account sorted then getting something like a Bet Angel VPS does mean you could trade from anywhere.
