Hi,
I have been studying all types of trading for the past year and the one i keep going back to is 2-1 to heavy favourites and trading out after a goal, sometimes put small cover on 0-0.
I have been searching for different ideas and stragegies for this score line but there doesnt seem to be much info on it.
I would appreciate some of your thoughts on this method. I have also been looking to scalp this scoreline by placing backing bet before kick-off and laying lower just after kick off but not sure if prices drop after kick off (have tried to study it but have patience of a gnat).
look forward to your input
thanks
Tx

Or else this blog: http://soccercompounding.blogspot.com/

I part run the above site as well as another one for prematchtrading. Have to agree on the 2-1, one of the strategies we use is one called the adster aperitif.
In effect it's a back of 2-1 and 2-2 either at KO or in-play. The 2-1 is the best score out there and consistantly the most common. Some stats below. Of course there is criteria attached to which games we choose.

If you're talking about prematch then there is plenty of misaligned prices before KO. here is one from earlier.Innertube wrote:I don't understand how these back before the off and trade out strategies can work. Surely they can only work if the prices are wrong either before the off or during the match. The market is very accurate on both.
This happens a fair bit.

No you missed my point. You need to be a bit more subtle when spamming
These crazy systems where people say back at this price and trade out at the following point. The market is very efficient, there is no edge in a systematic approach.
The example of movement you gave. The book is at 104% but that price is just moving inside that range, just 0.5% in this case. That doesn't mean anything in the scheme of things.

There are various factors to consider of course. Graphs, what other bookies state and a close check on Pinnacle whose prices are rarely far off Betfair's are just some of the things to look for. Combining them all will give you an idea where a price should be and where it may go. Long as you get that correct more times than not will see a profit end of the month.
