I read a story this morning about author Richard Bach crashing his plane (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-19451046), and it brought to mind his book Jonathan Livingston Seagull: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jonathan-Living ... 0006490344

It's one of those books that can be enjoyed by kids, but inspires people of all ages. And if you are someone who likes to excel at things for the sake of excelling, and believes in going against the crowd to pursue your own dreams, you'll relate to the story.
