Fair play to this fella batting at number 11, he's showing some of the more experienced guys the way to do it

In saying that, I think England got a bit cocky & have bowled badly at him. Agar now has his eye in, so could get at least a 50

He's got a well deserved 50

Well looks like I was right about the lead and batting deep. :)

----

So Australia got out to over 8 and now back in under 3. All in a 2.5 hour extended session. Amazing. People pursuing most strategies have had opportunities to be green. I don't trade or punt, have a different strategy.

And finally Agar is out, two short of the century.

Gutted for him

He deserved a hundred there, not just for a big score on his debut, but because he bailed his team out of the shite

There's clearly some big traders who don't like the volatility of 'in play' betting, because some really large numbers appear the very second players go for lunch, or tea etc

Yep and then it disappears when play starts again

did anyone just see the oods on England went from 1.83 to around 2.4 for no reason, I assumed there had been a wicket and the feed im watching was just delayed, but nothing, I was looking to green up following a wicket but wasn't quick enough there

Yes that happened, all the queued bets on one side of the book disappeared for a couple of seconds at the same time

there was around 500 quid appeared on the back side at 2.4 after the rest disappeared, only thing I can think of is someone wanted to lay Australia and layed England by mistkake :O

Loved this quote from cricinfo site.

"Look a little closer at the embroidery, though, and this day was about one man - a hitherto little-known 19-year-old named Ashton. That the door is still ajar is thanks to Agar, whose 98 on debut at No. 11 is a tale that would make fairies gasp in disbelief. "

It will be interesting to see if the large chunks of money waiting to be matched this morning disappear when the game starts again

Big money comes into all markets during low volatility times, HT in football, end of set in tennis etc

I am hoping for a dull day, bat long and dig in!
