They only need half a pitch for the SK Brann match. They could use the Barcelona half to play another match. :)

Asian World Cup qualifiers are a lucky dip. Some on 5, some on 12.

Leicester now charged by the Premier League now for financial breaches while also under investigation by the EFL so even if promoted a points deduction is a possibility meaning no promotion, if they are promoted then a possibility they'll start the season on minus points.

When do Everton's next round of points deductions hit? This season or next?

Sounds like it's the latter, unless the separate investigation hits them swiftly with something else. Don't think they would care much as long as they get promoted.

I am not a lover of points deductions in football, as it dilutes the product and directly affects fans, who had no say in the financial decisions that led to the deductions. I would rather see transfer market restrictions and financial fines, against the club, at least as a fan you know bad times are coming, but you don't suddenly get dumped in the relegation zone like Forest last week.

Do you guys know if the EFL do aim to give Leicester a points deduction and they get promoted, can the EFL points deduction be recognized by the Premier League and enforced by them next season.

The EFL enquiry is a separate one and can be given this season if any wrong doing is uncovered. If they still get promoted, then the Premier league one is from the start of the new season. (unclear how long they can hold the penalty if they don't get promoted)

Don't know about combining the two, it's a possibility.

One idea, why not action 1 of the 115 that Man City have, deduct 6-12 points, then the rest of the league can see there's a fair effort made and it's more balanced. (the remaining 114 can be applied as and when they see fit along with any Chelsea or Newcastle get awarded)

Bit of a shitshow TBH.

The hearing is next week and charges to be announced by the 8th April I'm reading, so this season by the looks of it.

As a follower of a club hit by financial sanctions the only people who suffer are the fans. Our old chairmen absolutely rinsed our club and we got relegated several divisions and are now fan owned to keep the club alive. The said chairman has somehow passed another fit and proper test and is the current chairmen of Hartlepool Utd and on with ruining them. It beggars belief he was allowed near a football club again.

However they does need to be some kind of punishment for rule breaking but difficult when the rules aren't fit for purpose and the people who govern football dishing all this out and making the rules are somehow beyond any rules themselves. Whatever peoples opinions and what angle you look at it, it's just a complete and utter mess.

No the EFL points deduction will be for the Championship only and same with the PL there separate entities.

Yep it's all about getting in the Premier League and getting the money before the parachute payments stop it's worth more than a 4 or 6 point deduction long-term.
