Heather Watson played a blinder. Sevastova didn't bother to turn up for the first set!

Another fantastic women's match eventually going to Konta 10-8 in deciding set

Almost feels like it's too early for Konta, doesn't look like a champion. But the draw is wide open.

It's funny how we all see it differently...... IMO (and I realise whose opinion I am questioning!!) that was a massive step for Konta today.
I thought the dangers to Konta's bid and likely to knock her out in the bottom half were Vekic, Kvitova and Azarenka and in the top Pliskova and Kontaveit.
She stepped up when she was wobbling in the first set and in the final set. Very impressive. It is always said that you have to win 7 matches to win a GS but the reality is only 3 or 4 are true contests if you get a kind draw........ She will probably go out to Sakkari now!!

Off to a winning start on the Makarova match.

Always amazing to see people backing at such low odds when a match is far from over

Bad injury for Mattek Sands

I'm wondering if Safarova could be a decent lay at 1.35 - they are doubles partners and have won 2 slams together. Knowing how women are more emotional than men, Lucie might be affected by that

Another cracking game but got to feel for Pliskova - still yet to progress beyond Rd2

If you want to avoid the red button on the BBC, all red button courts are listed on Sky channel 981 and above

I was concentrating on other matches and just looked in on this, looks like it was the best of the day for trading
