I think Konta is worth laying, as her favourtism is a nonsense

She has never even reached a GS final before, let alone win one, so she has no experience of bringing the baton home when in the final stretch.

Whereas, there are other players who have won slams and know what it feels like, and what is required to get over the finishing line - Venus has won 7 (5 at Wimbledon), Kerber (World #1 has won 2, including being the current US Open Champ), Azarenka has won 2, Kuznetsova has won 2, Muguruza and Ostapenko have won the last 2 Roland Garros.

On top of that, Konta has never won a grass court event - others have. Vandeweghe has won a grass court event, and only 3 weeks ago was badly beating Konta up in Birmingham, Rybarikova has won Birmingham, Radwanska and Wozniacki have both won Eastbourne and the girls singles at Wimbledon, and Garcia her next opponent won Mallorca last year

That's not even considering Halep and Svitolina who are both ranked higher than here.

How can she possibly be the favourite then?

Interested in Dimitrov & Federer tomorrow - I think Dimitrov is great value at 6.2

I've had a nibble at his outright price too. Absolutely amazed I got matched at odds of 60

Think thats a good assessment, i can't see any reason for her being fav myself - its not as if she even has an easy route

Probably because if Halep beats a rusty Azarenka it is feasible she can reach the final without beating a major winner. I suppose if you take 23 majors out in the shape of Serena it makes this anomaly more likely. I would think she will be much shorter tomorrow night if Wozniacki manages to turn over the Coco/Pat Cash combo.......!!!!

Interesting first matches up - I think Kerber, Radwanska and Ostapenko are all overpriced

Kerber especially is crazy high imo.

I can only assume there are injury doubts over Ostapenko, because the money that keeps coming for Svitolina is most surprising

Just had a second bite of the cherry by backing Kerber again at start of 3rd set

Ostapenko just made me a mint

This is why I tell struggling newbie traders to concentrate on sports they know. When I saw the money coming for Svitolina all day yesterday and this morning, I knew it was a drastic mistake, I knew the market had got that horribly, horribly wrong. I took a strong position laying Svitolina and was pretty confident I'd get a large green
