Looks like they have changed the rules, you now need to place five bets per market to qualify, not two as originally stated.

Thanks Peter. They never really gave the competition much thought. I've made an early start just in case I don't get up in time.

First race 13:45. Better set your alarm clocks everyone.

Has this been confirmed? It now does says 5 on the main pic of the competition on the app, but when reading the terms underneath it still says 2

A bit confusing considering it starts tomorrow

Just try and make a profit on every race and hope for the best.

The first race market is dormant. Just made £1.50 on it - hope it counts!

It does leave a bit of a dilemma - do you trade extra safe at Aintree and throw away potential profit just to give yourself a chance to share £4K?
I've often made this mistake in the past, so will be ignoring the promotion and just trading to the best of my ability.

It says 2 and 5 on their terms, but 2 on the main terms.

Where I saw 5 it now says 2 so probably 2.

It will be intereting to see the leaderboard for day 1 to see how many people have 7/7. I think that figure will make a lot of peoples minds up as to whether to continue to edge along with trying to get 21/21 or ditch it and revert to normal trading

Yeah .. I set the line at ..

85 over or under ..

So, 50 quid each, if u can b bothered to put a bot in play to win 10p etc.

(( the rules are shocking .. they should have put bet min of 10, and profit min of 10 quid also.))

The leaderboard could actually be quite revealing.

Im just hoping the fact that people having to opt in to enter may keep the numbers down a bit but I still wouldnt be at all surprised if the 7/7 figure was in the hundreds

Or maybe done something special to bring in some @&$*!%? customers ! Utterly pointless setting up something that's only of interest to traders. I'm sure Betfair marketing is staffed by rejects from the apprentice.

I remember years ago they used to run tipping contests when the big meetings were on and everyone could enter, think the top prize was £1000 or similar. Used to be good natured and well advertised on the forum and loads entered. This one just sees some lame response to stick up a bigger prize than Betdaq's contest over Cheltenham.

The rues seem so vague I can imagine it being split by hundreds of traders all getting about a tenner each, seems pointless to keep it to traders especially as it's so poorly advertised, dunno if they informed Bet Angel in advance of it.
