Sorry to hear that. Walsh never had control of that horse before the start and it has done this before so I wasn't tempted by anything else given its behaviour.

in all fairness it wasnt that bad for me in the end. I managed to get it down to -20 which was a result and a half considering when it went down to 1.3 I was looking at -200! Think I will play it slightly more cautiously!

Help Swingers, how many ticks does one normally swing for, i go for 6 on all prices up to 3.95. (Usally achieve them) and x 2, 3 ticks 4.0-5.0, but guys and ladies is 6 to much, would 3 be more favourable, in that case i would have to put more through the market, but if i do this it reduces my stop limit, also how much of the bank do swing traders expose (max risk) (lay side)
Help a potential good Swinger needs it :D :D

Still lots of big swings going on, great if you can get a decent position. The markets are starting to feel more like I would expect for this time of year,

I'm still not on form and far from on par with last year but I'm making some ok profits again.

Maybe 5 days away from trading was the answer.

I've been struggling a bit today, relatively speaking.

So have I today, I've had an ok week though. I don't expect much from Saturdays these days, not sure why? In the Jumps Saturday Is probs my best day but Flat it becomes my worst.

markets seem a bit wonky to me today. I started ok but seem to have just stood still for the last hour and a bit

Just too many losses for me, on the same day last year I did 44 races in a row all in profit. Today every third race is a loss. Markets feel very unstable. Volume on the Guineas was significantly lower than previous years despite the very short price of Frankel.

How odd, the 17:10 at Dundalk has done almost the same volume as the 17:10 at Goodwood!

Would you say that the instability is caused by a lack of volume?

Today felt odd - started well and I was enjoying the trades, but then either I lost focus or the markets started becoming less reliable. That's how it felt anyway, I guess a mixed bag today squeezed between the two bank holidays, so not a 'normal' Saturday. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

How does today's volume compare with a typical Saturday?
