How can anyone be more or less than 2.00 for the toss?! It would make more sense if the market was "who will bat first?"

Its a good question but something I've spotted a few times. The best answer I have is huge volumes of people in Asia betting on one team or another to win the toss at bookmaker provided odds (best odds I can find currently on a team winning a coin toss with a bookies is 1.91). Then the bookies don't want to have a huge amount of liability on their books for one side of a coin toss so are looking to hedge their position on betfair.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Mon Nov 06, 2023 5:19 amHow can anyone be more or less than 2.00 for the toss?! How is there so much more matched on Cricket compared to other sports, 145 million!
That was an outrageous innings. After my initial trade to back Afghanistan on a belter of a pitch succeeded, I had a bit of a speculative trade with some of my profits on Australia at 30/1 when it appeared that Maxwell was in the mood, although greened those up again at 10/1, so left a lot on the table

Interesting. Do you have much knowledge on white label sites within the exchanges, Emmson?Emmson wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 5:14 pmAsian money using agents/white label sitestryingtotrade wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 5:04 pmHow is there so much more matched on Cricket compared to other sports, 145 million!
I know BF doesn't allow 3rd party software, so I'm interested in how all this Asian money gets pushed through the cricket markets
No I'm no expert on it at all, I just want it to keep coming, it would be a very, very bad day if they found an alternative.LeTiss wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 7:21 amInteresting. Thanks. I went onto Google and found the article within the Business Telegraph
A fascinating read though.
I have to be honest....I knew very little about it.
I'm guessing BF will have little appetite for closing that revenue stream, if they lose customers in the UK due to stricter affordability checks being imposed
