Well, I've got a problem that I can't seem to solve (I'm new to these things) and it's this:
I want to scalp all greyhounds that fulfil certain conditions, for example:
In Back:
1st Lay price< 8...
2nd Back Book% <xx%
3rd Selection volume> xxx
4º Unmatched bet conditions less than 2
5º Matched betting conditions lay=Back plus 0
6th Back price = Lay price - (Any selections) <3 ticks
<<Any Seletions>>
On Lay:
1st Volume of selections> xxx
2nd Unmatched bet conditions less than 2
3rd Matched betting conditions Back=Lay plus 0
4th Lay Price = Back Price (Any Selections) >3 ticks
<<Any Seletions>>
However, the bets are not being placed consistently, the selections of the back bets do not match the lays bets or vice versa and the number of lay bets is sometimes higher than that of the back bets, when the bet that gives rise to it is the back.
Can you help solve this problem?
What's missing?
Inconsistent bets on the market

One answer could be the money your off-setting with isn't being fully taken in the market?
So you could get a £100 back bet matched at 2.00 and offer a lay at 1.98 with £99 the price touches 1.98 but only £25 is matched at 1.98 then moves away beyond 2.00 and vise-versa
Have you watched the automation live in the market?

Presumably you have one rule for backing and one for laying. Have you considered a situation where one rule gets triggered but not the other?
If one rule is intended to trigger first, you can ensure the other triggers by using a back bets - lay bets calculation or vice versa to make sure equal amounts are matched on both sides of the book.
