So what is everyone doing today?!
I took a break from the nags and traded the golf at the weekend (a good 2 days apart from taking a hit when Mickelson missed from about 15 inches).
Today's PC changes don't affect me yet, but I'd prefer to trade where everyone else is...
Monday 18th July
Early statistic for the day: Total matched amounts at 8am in the past week for horse racing win markets.
Matched volume is clearly down against the average. Quite significant too. Only 29% of the daily average against last week, and only 18% of the volume last Monday at 8am.
Let's see how it pans out before the races though.

I shall be trading Befair today to see if the dynamics do changePeterLe wrote:Curious to see if the dynamics change?
Not really. Betfair has changed my life permanently and I'm sure I can have a positive impact on many others lives who put their faith in me, so I will get a lot of enjoyment by doing that. I enjoy working in the markets and learning more about them so I'll keep on doing that. My other investments are more important now, so I will spend more time doing that but I'm not about to leave the sports markets. If anything I'll have more time to spend on the software now, not less. I'll also be less precious about missing key markets, so I'll get a bit of my life back. Quite important now my kids are getting older.LeTiss 4pm wrote:If you're going to scale back your BF activity Peter, what's the future for BetAngel?
Surely, your determination to keep BA evolving will disappear?

what do you do when trading Betdaq with BA - I assume you also have Betfair BA open (to monitor prices, use the graphs, emergency get out etc.)?
I'm considering getting a 2nd smaller monitor to use just for Betdaq - my current one is 30" (2560x1600) but still not enough space for both.

Today I will simply be monitoring the markets but not trading. I am going to look at other business ventures and revenue streams in the long term but for now I am going to sit on the sidelines and observe.

Yes appreciate that.
My in play is only a fraction of what i put through manually (no manual today). Fortunately (unfortunately!), I'm not one of the 500; yet.
I would/will use Betdaq as soon as I am able. (I have been corresponding with the API team at Betdaq regarding my call limit and as soon as they give me the green light I'll use it in earnest).
I'll let you know how it goes
regards
Peter
