Celtic through to next round despite losing, after FC Sion lose their appeal.

In hindsight I've been too optimistic this week in the champions league. What I have learnt so far is that some teams have not settled into European competition yet and others have been a bit cautious; this is surprising in the group stages. Biggest surprise was to see Inter lose last night in the CL.

I like the Europa league as you get two bites at the cherry on a Thursday. First you get the 18:00 kick offs, then the 20:00 and tonight there are 24 matches to feast on.

Teams at the top of the expected goals list: -

Az Alkmaar vs. Malmo FF
PSV vs. Legia Warsaw
Hannover vs. Standard
Club Brugge vs. NK Maribor

Teams at the bottom of my goals list: -

PAOK vs. Tottenham
Sturm Graz vs. Lokomotiv
Dinamo Kiev vs. Stoke
Birmingham vs. Braga

I fancy Sporting Lisbon for today. They have been poor performers so far, but in the last game they came behind an away two goals disadantage to win the game 2-3. This might work as a confidence boost.

I put a small back bet on them and will trade as usual to offset the potencial loss.

Spurs all over Shamrock at the moment and probably a good price to score soon.

Back to 1-1 now. Will the luck of the Irish run out now?

A good trade in at 0-1 with Spurs all over them. 2-1 from 0-1 down in minutes.

Given Spurs don't seem too fussed with Europe I wonder if odds on is a poor price for them. I'm tempted to look for something on Rubin Kazan.

Nice to see sportsmanship is still strong as witnessed in the Fulham game.

FIFA really need to start reconsidering their stance on dealing with blatant play acting, the fact that these cheats are getting away with it speaks volumes.

They had a great chance to establish some kind of system after the exploits of Busquets last season in the CL semi. He's a great player but he gets away with murder.

Quite a lot of pre-off activity on the Stoke match.
