Something new

Trading is often about how to take the appropriate risk without exposing yourself to very human flaws.

I'll have to buy myself a new chair too, I have a painful lumbago, I'm looking into some ergonomy material in order to make a full review of my working space.

im sure that will work, but it seems a slightly wasteful way in terms of needless cash spent to get the required boost to morale.
I find winning is the best way to boost your confidence.
Calling it right is great for the ego, bank balance, and confidence.
Losing on a longish run (for me 5ish plus markets)does the oposite.

In football in play, Getting scammed by taking false odds if im in auto mode, or losing money by sum1 beating the suspend, absolutely kills me for a day or three.
Nothing worse than being cheated out of your money, calling it right and still, losing through cheats.
Personally i think all peeps partaking in this activity should be banned, making it harder for this scum to prosper really is something betfair need to look at very seriously

This is way OT, but there you go:

I didn't like your comments on the other thread, but these are just insulting.

You might be aware that you lost the money to another trader. You are amongst traders, so you may well consider a better attitude? Have you considered that there is a fair chance that someone that took part of your money is reading this?

If you can't cope with the fact that you were outsmarted and still think you were scammed and that someone beat the clock and bla bla bla, someone will take your money again. And to be honest, if you keep writing in these terms, not only I won't feel sorry for you, I'll think it was well deserved. I rest my case. Take care.

You have anger issues I'm afraid, and in my experience, people that are too emotional find trading a difficult thing to crack.

Those people that you call cheats and scum are operating a strategy. If you've fallen into their net from time to time, then too bad. Start improving your own performance, and you won't need to worry about these traders.

Hi Superfrank - Appreciate if you'll let us know what the make and model of that silver green dream machine you're driving is? The shiny black faux leather (staples best) retro chair I'm torturing my back with presently is looking a bit rubbish compared to your Lamborghini. How are you getting on with it, does it drive like it looks? What's it like on a long journey say Midday racing through to final game in the Primera division?

I'm green with envy... or perhaps I'm just not getting out enough.

thoughts appreciated.

yeah it's fab.

this is the manufacturer... http://www.humanscale.com/products/prod ... mTaskChair

I bought mine from here - cheapest I could find and decent bloke
http://www.officefurniturescene.co.uk/o ... ale-chairs

they come in more fabrics than are available on the website so best to call. mine is Sensuede (olive). also options for armrests and casters.
made to order in Dublin and shipped direct (took about 3 weeks).

cool thanks for the detail much appreciated !

Two questions, as I'm sure you've already thought this through and would appreciate your input.

1. Why didn't you go for the head rest option?
2. Why did you choose fabric over leather ?

I presume you went for Olive to get away from the office surplus look.

1. more expensive and would have made the chair a bit big looking for the room (but it would have been nice when leaning right back for a power nap!
2. had leather before and wanted a change and fabric feels nicer (to me).

colour brightens the place up, and can be justified on a nice piece of design.

Cool, thanks for all this. I've been surfing thru a fair amount of chair porn today to check out the competition and whether I could find cheaper surplier but I think you've nailed it.

If I hit my xmas targets I'll be treating myself.

no problem. that must be the first time I've got a bargain!

decent chairs aren't cheap, but i thought these were excellent value given that the design has won loads of awards.

I just bought KFC, tasted great, don't think it improved my trading though!

But on another note I'm using my gaming mouse and keyboard, though had them 3 years, must get a new one.
