Interesting situation has developed in this market. Terry Connor appointed but under Betfair rules any caretaker manager must have be in the role for ten games to quality as officially appointed.

Next manager markets are mental, they are a layers dream.

Having said that it's a surprising appointment, albeit by default as Curbishley, Smith, McDermott and Poyet turned it down.
Connor worked closely with McCarthy for years, they were a team. If the board felt McCarthy wasn't the man anymore, you would have thought by association that Connor wouldn't either
