I hear the same stories about this group getting hacked off but wonder where long term Betfairers head off to. Doesn't look to be a flight to betdaq, not yet anyway. Binary options or back to the rip-off bookies? Or, perish the thought, regular jobs?

I was frustrated with Betfair and went to binary options for a while before returning gladly to Betfair. The binary options world is a very dark one indeed. For example you have to be very precise in your timing when purchasing a binary option. Guess what? The binary options brokers dont have charts on their websites! In addition they offer great bonuses on your initial deposit. Guess what? You have to turn over your initial deposit about 20 times before you can make a withdrawal. They have account managers that give out advice and signals. Guess what? The last time I took any notice he gave out 5 losing trades in a row. It's betting in the dark at odds on.
We all grumble abut Betfair but I suppose unless you are paying the premium charge they do offer a good service.

Had an email from Betfair that I found in my Junk folder today which I assume others got. Basically said:
1. Transaction Charges removed from all PC accounts (fill your boots all automated people!) on a trial from today until 31/10/2013.
2. If this leads to better volumes and bet count it will be considered for a longer time period.
3. The reasons given were that they think it will help with bet matching, especially in multi-runner markets.
4. Base commission on Asian Handicap markets in all football matches is now 0.5% (not clear if this is just for PC customers.) Trial basis from today until 17/08/2013 when it will be reviewed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did others get this info and what do people think of it?
I haven't been on the Betfair website for some time but I am guessing these changes aren't being made public on the website so everyone knows the goal posts are being moved?

You seen this as well?
Fixed Odds prices on the Exchange
We are continually trying out ways to simplify betting on the site. One piece of feedback we receive regularly is that placing a single fixed odds bet is difficult due to having to switch between exchange and fixed odds prices.
So this week we have started a trial to remove this complexity by offering only fixed odds prices on markets where the exchange liquidity has been poor.
You can view this now by going to our event page on Irish Football Games or in the screenshot below.

I'm always wary of posting on betfair forums so I'll add a comment here...
My first reaction is what flipping betfair peabrain came up with this idea? Seeding an exchnage with fixed odds is just cretinous.
My second reaction is confusion. It's getting so shit at betfair there seems to be a possibility management retardoes think this helps "defend" the exchange's weakening by betdaq. Or maybe not, I can't tell. Perhaps this is another "strategic shift" (yawn) to morph betfair into some wankstain hyprid of Pinnacle and Will Hill. *sigh*

Wonder why they have picked on Croatia to have the highest charges. What a mess the pricing is becoming.
