Have Betfair increased the delay on bets being place in the market once it has gone inplay? mainly looking at horse racing to me it feels as though the delay has been doubled.

No its still the same i think..(on Horses)
Mind you; on the in play football markets it seems like a lifetime when you submit a bet!

Thank you Peter

It looks like it is my internet connection download speed normal but upload is at 5% of normal and ping is 1s compared to 25ms normally hence it is taking a lot longer for my bets getting to betfair :(

That's a huge ping.

You can test it here:

CaerMyrddin

Thank you for the link it confirms ping at 1000ms with jitter at 500ms, hae a fault call into my ISP but won't be doing any inplay horse trading until it is resolved as it is taking too long to place orders into the market.

FYI, have 24ms ping at home. Consider getting a new ISP, I'd say ;)

recently I have been trading on darts, today I had lays in the que at 1.01 there was still money above it at 1.02-1.03. The winner threw the winning dart and I cancel as it went in and the market is immediatley suspended, but my money still got matched. How is this possible with the 3 second delay, could it be someone is at the event and the bbc pictures are more than 3 seconds delayed?
