Where is it?
I see the BA tweet, and I see the thread on the forum on the homepage, but when I click on it, it says I don't have permission!

I suppose so. Out of interest, why do they tell you before the customers?

I just got the email screen shot by MMS actually from a friend and I love the wording from bf.
Along the lines of
"At betfair you always get the best service, and therefore to ensure you continue to get a premium experience, we are increasing the commissions to 6.5%"

Imagine the experience you get at 60% - you get massages on demand, someone serving you warm drinks in the winter, cold drinks in the summer, you name it, you get it.
There is a direct correlation between commissions rate and customer experience or so they think. I think this footage from the Betfair Board Meeting where the new commission rates were set explains a lot of things:

It's all fiddling while the Titanic sinks.
If betfair had the wits to come out and say... you know what guys, premium charge, sorry, what we were flipping thinking. It's over. We're going to take a couple of quarters to phase PC out, and meanwhile commission goes to 10% for everyone. Flat. Starting with 6.5%. But winners are welcome back.
betdaq nobbled at the knees. job done.
Instead, we get this shit. All this is is the management clusterfuck saying find me more share dividends coz I'm not going to handle more PR fallout from yet more premium charge increases.

Nice way to start the day, logged in and got the message...
Is this a general increase or are they only targeting PC payers?

It onyl effects certain countries - they can get away with charging them a bit more so are chasing revenue that way. The UK & Ireland aren't included in the changes. I can't remember which others aren't.
It isn't linked to the PC.

Is this legal, under EU laws? You are using the same service in different countries and pay differently? Serious doubt.
