Another Issue with Windows 10 update
A previous member mentioned that Windows 10 uses extensive CPU after update. My issue is that my Windows laptop refuse accepting my initial login password after the update was taken into action. This drives me crazy as I have very important files on it. Be aware of Windows 10 update, fellows. I am now looking for a valid solution to get it fixed.

I can't see anything in Win10 that's worth having, unless you like MS hearing everything you say and watching everything you do.
Ditto with apps, did you ever consider the consequences of those that ask permission to use your contacts, camera, mic, and any files they find?
I am on plan to do the downgrade. I have a Win 7 laptop which runs well after using a new SSD. The question is that I need to get into the computer firstShaunWhite wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 12:59 pm+1

Can you boot it into shell mode? Use your system restore cd.
I don't understand how your password has changed unless you are running an unlicensed version of windows.

Windows 10 itself has potential pitfalls, Especially after the upgrade, That's why I reject Windows 10, I had a similar problem with my laptop last year,It took me eight hours to get back to normal.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 12:27 pmI don't understand how your password has changed unless you are running an unlicensed version of windows.
Would you please share more details about it? appreciatedPasker wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 2:02 pmWindows 10 itself has potential pitfalls, Especially after the upgrade, That's why I reject Windows 10, I had a similar problem with my laptop last year,It took me eight hours to get back to normal.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 12:27 pmI don't understand how your password has changed unless you are running an unlicensed version of windows.
I'm running Windows 10 but I've had to use apply all sorts of policy settings and registry hacks to stop the OS from auto-updating, auto virus checking and whatever else it wants. The most offensive thing about Windows 10 is 'active hours'!
They basically think they own your computer and lend it to you for 12 hours and do what they like including rebooting outside those hours.

I've tried to find out how to do this and failed miserably.
If it was practicable I would love to know how you managed this, Derek.
Happy for you to message me if necessary.
Cheers.
I still use Windows 7 Professional on my desktop - it's the best IMO

I used the group policy editor. To try it, type "gpedit" in the RUN box (create a system restore point first), navigate to Computer Configuration ¦ Administrative Templates ¦ Windows Components ¦ Windows Update
Double click on Configure Automatic Updates
Click Enable and select option 2 Notify for downloading and auto install. The wording of this policy appears to have changed slightly since my original install (version 16xx) so I just hope it still works the same.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
According to your description, You are not sure exactly what caused your initial password to be invalid? Because when you update Windows 10, it doesn't change any of your Settings.morisics wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 11:06 amWould you please share more details about it? appreciatedPasker wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 2:02 pmWindows 10 itself has potential pitfalls, Especially after the upgrade, That's why I reject Windows 10, I had a similar problem with my laptop last year,It took me eight hours to get back to normal.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 12:27 pmI don't understand how your password has changed unless you are running an unlicensed version of windows.
